Program Period: Your Stanford home department will cover the remaining costs of your education to the extent that is consistent with its standard funding commitment for that program if your degree program lasts longer than three years, such as an MD or PhD program or a Stanford dual- or joint-degree program.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible for Stanford University Scholarships: 

A essential language is English. 

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program is open to individuals from all countries who completed their first or bachelor's degree in 2015 or later and want to enroll in classes in 2022. 

You must apply and enroll to be qualified within four years after receiving your first or bachelor's degree. 

You must have exceptional mental sharpness, a need for knowledge and new experiences, a profusion of original ideas, the capability to make sense of ambiguous situations, and the ability to hold a divergent or opposing position.

You must be self-driven, ambitious, and risk-taking in the fullest meaning of the word. self-aware, tenacious, and capable of overcoming obstacles. Low ego, inclusivity, appreciation for diversity, and humility are traits of the individual. 

You need to be a skilled English speaker, reader, and writer in order to enroll in a course at Stanford. The majority of graduate programs at Stanford require a TOEFL score of 100iBT or 600PBT. The Stanford MBA program and all of its graduate-level degree programs accept the IELTS, PTE, and TOEFL.

In addition to Knight-Hennessy Scholars, you must first apply to, be accepted into, and enroll in a full-time graduate degree program at Stanford. Each new Knight-Hennessy Scholar is required to enroll in a graduate program at Stanford, such as one leading to a DMA, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MPP, MS, or PhD. There are no quotas per discipline or program. Remember that top consideration will be given to applicants who will enroll at Stanford for at least two years. 

Including Scholarships 

The benefits of earning a scholarship from Stanford University are as follows:

a stipend intended to cover the cost of one round-trip economy ticket to and from Stanford each year. 

a monthly stipend for housing and tuition expenses (such as room and board, books, academic supplies, instructional materials, local transportation, and reasonable personal expenses). 


a fellowship that is specifically utilized to cover the cost of tuition (in accordance with the usual level of attendance for the department) and associated expenses. 

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program often does not cover costs that your home department at Stanford pays for its students, such as for subscriptions or lab equipment.
