Best Scholarships in Korea 

1. Scholarship for Global Koreans (GKS)

A resettlement payment, living allowance, health insurance, and language training costs are also included in the GKS Scholarship. A second reward of KRW 100,000 will be given to participants who demonstrate exceptional skill in the Korean language.
Candidates must be younger than 25 years old (undergraduate) or 40 years old (graduate) to be eligible. Additionally, a minimum GPA of 80% from the preceding university is needed.

2. President Fellowship at Seoul National University (SNU)

  • Doctoral degree from SNU is required. 
  • SNU, which was established in 1946, is regarded as the most esteemed university in Korea.
Unsurprisingly, it also provides the equally esteemed SNU President Fellowship program, one of the best awards for foreign students in Korea. It is presented to Ph.D. candidates who work as faculty members in institutions located, to name a few, in Asia, South America, and Africa. 

Candidates with significant achievements in the fields of engineering, development studies, public health, agriculture, medicine, and medicine are given preference.
In addition to KRW 1,500,000 ($1,220) in monthly living expenses, group health insurance, and round-trip travel expenses, deserving recipients will get a full-tuition scholarship for six months. 

The cost of language programs will also be covered by SNU, provided that they are exclusively taken in the evenings during the fall and spring terms. 

To be eligible for this attractive benefit for three years, the recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.
3. Underwood International College (UIC) Admissions Scholarship at Yonsei University


Scholarship Amount: Four Years of Full Tuition 
Yonsei UIC undergraduate degrees are acceptable degrees (16 Majors in 5 Divisions)
One of South Korea's top universities, Yonsei University, just inaugurated the nation's first English-speaking liberal arts college. It currently has over 2,500 students from 66 different nations and is known as UIC. 

The UIC scholarship has the wonderful feature of automatically considering every applicant. The recipients of this prestigious scholarship in Korea are chosen based on their academic qualifications. After being chosen, the notice of scholarship will be sent along with the application materials.
Like with other scholarships, recipients must maintain a particular GPA to remain eligible for the following academic year. 

4. Scholarships at Korean Universities for Foreign Students


Scholarship Amount: Four years of partial to full tuition reimbursement 
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 
Korea University charges some of the highest tuition rates in the nation due to its status as a private college. Many international students have been able to complete their undergraduate degrees at the university for free, thanks to these fantastic Korean scholarship schemes. 

For instance, entrance scholarships may be awarded to a small number of freshmen. Since the recipients are hand-selected based on their merits, there is no need for a second application.

Ewha Global Partnership Program, number 5. (EGPP)


Full tuition for the whole academic program is covered by the award. 
Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Degrees from Ewha Woman's University are Acceptable (EWU) 
Private university EWU is located in Seoul, South Korea. Undergraduate tuition for a semester starts at roughly $3,000, while graduate tuition is about $5,000. 

However, as an EGPP scholarship recipient, all expenses for undergraduate or graduate education are paid in full. Additionally, recipients will receive a living stipend and free housing in dorms. However, this award does not cover insurance. 
Female applicants from underdeveloped nations are awarded the EGPP. Award recipients are chosen based on their potential for leadership and academic ability.

6. International Graduate Scholarship at Kyungpook National University (KINGS)

Full tuition reimbursement for the whole graduate program 
Master's and doctoral programs at Kyungpook National University are eligible degrees. 
Gyeongbuk, South Korea's Kyungpook National University is a public university.
It provides a number of scholarships, including the KINGS Award, which is given to 70 international graduate students each year. 

The pupils cannot, however, apply for the scholarship on their own. Instead, the names of potential prize recipients based on their academic standings will be sent by their individual departments. 

The Office of International Affairs will next process the paperwork. The Admissions Committee will then receive them for the official selection procedure.
The scholarship will be renewed each year, therefore recipients must maintain a specific GPA to remain eligible.

7. Scholarship Link : POSCO TJ Park Scholarship for Asian Students Studying in Korea

Scholarship Amount: Four semesters of full tuition 
Qualifications: Doctoral and Master's Degrees 
As the name implies, only Asian students who want to pursue graduate studies in South Korea are eligible for this award in Korea. It was created to aid in developing the next generation of Asian leaders. 

The scholarship grant will cover the cost of tuition for 4 semesters as well as a living allowance of $800 per month with a relocation allowance. 

The applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree in Korea or another nation in order to qualify.

Despite this modest need, there will be two rounds of selection for all applicants. While the second is based only on the applicant's interview, the first assesses the submitted documents. 

After clearing the two rounds of selection, the student must be admitted to the university of his or her choice. The student won't be referred to as a POSCO Asia fellow before that.

8. Scholarship Link for the Samsung Global Hope Scholarship Program

Full tuition for the whole academic program is covered by the award. 
Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Programs at Samsung Partner Universities are Acceptable Degrees 
The DAC list of OCD recipients is a source of applicants for the Samsung Global Hope Scholarship Program. These are the least developed, lower-middle-income, upper-middle-income, and high-income countries.

Program Search for Foreign Students

Academic ability, financial need, and language proficiency are taken into account while selecting scholars. Students who are most likely to return to their home countries and aid in their development are also granted honors. 

Applications must be sent to the student's top-choice university.

9. Art Major Asian Plus (AMA+) Scholarship at Korea National University of the Arts

Amount of the Scholarship: Full Tuition Coverage 
Qualifications: Bachelor's and Master's Degrees 
In 1993, K-NARTS was established. Soon after, the AMA scholarship became available. Since its inception in 2004, it has supported 309 students from more than 30 OECD DAC recipient nations. 


This Korean scholarship includes round-trip airfare, a monthly allowance of KRW 800,000 ($650), health insurance, and complete tuition coverage. 

As previously stated, the primary requirement is that the applicant must be a citizen of one of the OECD DAC beneficiary countries. For undergraduate or master's programs, the student should possess a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree.
The TOPIK level 6 requirement for scholars for Korean language training is waived for them. 

Unless otherwise specified, applicants for art scholarships must also submit a portfolio of their works. 

A completed application form, academic transcripts, a personal statement, a study plan, a personal medical evaluation, and three recommendation letters are also needed.

10. Changwon National University (CWNU) Full-Time Research Scholarship for Graduate STUDENTS 

Four semesters of full tuition are covered by the scholarship. 
Master's and doctoral degrees from CWNU are admissible.
CWNU is a public university with its headquarters in South Korea's southeast. 

It is the location of a renowned graduate school, one of many Korean universities that provide full scholarships to international graduate students. 

The qualifications for this scholarship in Korea, however, are rather high. 

Candidates for the master's degree must be the lead/first author on one paper or a co-author on two papers. Likewise, Ph.D. aspirants needed to have published a paper in order to be taken into consideration.
However, art majors may substitute one or more exhibitions, performances, or artistic presentations for this research requirement. 

The recipient of the award must maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 in order to remain eligible for the next term.
